The Magic Johnson Foundation was established in 1991 as a single-disease organization that worked to raise funds for community-based organizations dealing with HIV/AIDS education and prevention programs. In response to growing community needs, The Foundation has since expanded its mission to focus on supporting community-based organizations and developing programs that serve the health, educational and social needs of those residing in inner-city communities.
Project Angel Food is a daily meal delivery program for homebound men, women, and children living with AIDS. Our meals, prepared by professional chefs and volunteer assistants, are attractive, nutritious, and always made with the freshest ingredients. Service area clients are grouped into 90 geographically-based routes in and around the Los Angeles area.
